Prof. Emeritus Daniel Mireku-Gyimah is the foundation Vice Chancellor of the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), Tarkwa. He is an experienced and accomplished academic and consultant. He is a Chartered Mining Engineer and a Professor of Mining Engineering. He holds three (3) DSc (Honoris Causa) honorary degrees, DIC (Mine Design & Planning), PhD (Computer-Aided Mine Design & Planning), and MSc (Mining Engineering) degrees.

Prof. Bruce Kofi Banoeng Yakubo
Prof. Bruce Kofi Banoeng-Yakubo, is a Professor of Hydrogeology, Department of Earth Science and a former Dean of Student Affairs in the University of Ghana Legon. He is a former Council Chairman of the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), Tarkwa, and a former Chief Director of the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources of Ghana. He holds a PhD (Hydrogeology), MPhil (Geology), MSc (Applied Geology) and BSc (Geology) degrees.

Prof. Emeritus Newton Atta Amegbey is the foundation Pro Vice Chancellor of the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), Tarkwa. He is an accomplished consultant on mining, environment, health, and safety issues. He led a team of experts to provide the criteria for blasting standards in Ghanaian mines for the Minerals Commission. He holds a DSc (Honoris Causa), Dr-Ing. (Mine Environment and Safety Engineering), MSc (Mining Engineering) degrees.
